The Exciting Role
A new and exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced full-time Lecturer in Digital to join a dynamic and innovative educational institution. As a Lecturer in Digital, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning to students across a range of digital-related courses. You will work closely with other members of the academic team to design and develop course content, assessments, and learning materials that engage and challenge students.
In this role, you will also have the opportunity to contribute to the ongoing development of the college's Digital curriculum, helping to ensure that it remains up-to-date and relevant to the needs of the industry. You will work closely with local employers and other stakeholders to identify emerging trends and technologies, and to ensure that your teaching reflects these developments.
The ideal candidate for this role will have a degree in Computer Science or a related field, as well as a recognised teaching qualification. You will have experience of teaching IT and Computer Science to students of all levels and will be able to demonstrate a passion for your subject and a commitment to student success. You will be a proactive and enthusiastic team player, with excellent communication and organisational skills.
We are seeking a practitioner with expertise in software development, particularly in the teaching of programming languages such as Python, C++, and JavaScript. The ideal candidate will also possess experience in teaching Cyber Security and Networking. This role requires a deep understanding of both theoretical concepts and practical applications, with the ability to communicate complex topics clearly and effectively. Experience in delivering hands-on, engaging lessons and adapting to diverse learning styles is highly desirable. Familiarity with the latest industry standards and trends will be an advantage.
