Up to £41,937 per annum, depending on experience. Plus £4,000 market premium payment for candidates with identified experience. 
Hours: 35 per week
Working Weeks: 52 per year

The Exciting Role 
A new and exciting opportunity has become available for a Motor Vehicle Lecturer to join our student-focused team. We would particularly like to speak to candidates with experience of delivering on the Motor Vehicle qualifications. Applications on a part-time basis will also be considered.

You’ll work in well-equipped workshops, alongside a supportive team, helping learners turn curiosity into real-world skills and qualifications.

The successful candidate will be primarily based at Accrington & Rossendale College but may be required to travel across sites.

Please note: the market premium payment is specifically linked to the appointment of a candidate who has an Internal Verification (IV) qualification, a recognised teaching qualification and a high level of experience teaching in Further Education. The successful candidate would be expected to complete the IV for the department.

What You Will Be Doing:
• For candidates with relevant experience, have specific responsibility for developing the Motor Vehicle curriculum and developing employer relationships to support industry placements.
• Teach on other Motor Vehicle programmes as required (Entry level to Level 3)
• Be up to date, plan and prepare high-quality teaching as required by your Line Manager
• Develop and share resources for the subject including maintaining effective links across College for resources
• Regularly assess students in order to track and monitor progress

What We Are Looking For:
• 5 GCSEs or equivalent including Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above
• Minimum level 3 qualification in a related subject
• Recognised teaching and assessor qualification or a willingness to achieve this within three years of appointment
• Assessor and Verifier Qualifications
