‘Together, Let’s Be Extraordinary’

Our Organisation
This role is advertised by ELLG Professional Services. Part of East Lancashire Learning Group, ELLG Professional Services provides expert business support services to the wider Group.

Part of East Lancashire Learning Group, Lancashire Adult Learning (LAL) provide learning opportunities for all adults across the region. LAL currently offers an extensive range of subjects to learners, with over 2000 courses delivered through more than 300 venues across Lancashire. The Exciting Role

Are you a talented designer looking for a role where your creativity can make a genuine difference to people's lives?

At East Lancashire Learning Group, you'll be much more than a designer creating artwork behind the scenes. You'll be part of an ambitious, supportive and highly creative Marketing & Communications team, helping to shape how thousands of prospective learners, students, employers and community partners experience our colleges every year.

From developing inspiring prospectuses to being the design force behind recruitment campaigns, you'll play a key role in bringing our vision to life across print, digital, social media, video and campus environments. Every project offers the opportunity to influence perceptions, tell compelling stories and showcase the incredible achievements of our learners and staff.

This is also a role for someone who enjoys people as much as pixels. You'll regularly work alongside colleagues from across the Group, contribute creative ideas, support photoshoots and content creation, and play an active part in Open Events, recruitment events and college activities where you'll meet and engage directly with learners and prospective students. These face-to-face interactions help ensure our creative work authentically reflects the people and communities we serve.

We're looking for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys sharing ideas, embraces new creative challenges and wants to contribute to something bigger than a brand. If you're passionate about design, excited by variety, and motivated by the opportunity to inspire future generations, we'd love to hear from you.

Join us and help tell the stories that shape futures.

What You'll Bring:

  • Creativity, enthusiasm and plenty of fresh ideas.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to identify opportunities that drive growth, engagement and participation.
  • A proactive approach and a passion for finding new opportunities and delivering results.
  • The ability to combine strategic thinking with hands-on delivery.
  • A genuine desire to make a positive impact on learners, communities and organisational success.
  • The drive to work towards ambitious targets and demonstrate the impact of marketing activity.

You'll be part of an ambitious, forward-thinking marketing team, Gold Medal winners in the Large Team of the Year category at the prestigious FE First Awards 2026. This is a chance to influence campaigns, shape engagement activity, work with diverse audiences and see the tangible impact of your work every day.

If you're full of ideas, commercially aware, love building relationships and want a role where no two days are the same, we'd love to hear from you.

The successful candidate will be primarily based at Lancashire Adult Learning but will be required to travel across sites.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Act as a creative brand champion, ensuring effective, high quality and timely production of artwork for a wide range of print and online materials, from large scale publications to social assets, web banners to newsletters, signage, and more, in line with brand guidelines.
  • Provide effective and creative design solutions for campaign activity in line with the Marketing department’s briefs and priorities, from concept through to final production.
  • Be able/willing to learn editing, producing and delivering video creative that may include video editing, animations, and subtitles.
  • Play a key role in the development of our visual branding across the college campuses.
  • Take a lead role in key projects such as image stock development to ensure a bank of high quality ‘approved’ brand assets for various audience groups, that help to showcase the brand identity and our wide-ranging audience demographics, for flexible use by the team and in materials.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Degree Level Qualification in a relevant field.
  • In-house or agency graphic design experience, with a broad portfolio of evidence to include print and online examples
  • Excellent technical skills including extensive experience of using Adobe Creative Suite (specifically InDesign)
  • Broad experience formatting artwork for print across various formats/specifications
  • Experience of building effective relationships and working as part of a team.

What We Offer in Return:

  • Access to a workplace pension scheme – with generous employer contributions
  • Generous annual leave allowance including a two-week closure over the Christmas period
  • Enhanced occupational sick pay scheme and access to family friendly policies and benefits
  • A range of health and wellbeing benefits and support
  • Staff recognition scheme, including long service awards
  • Free on-site parking on all College sites
