The Exciting Role
A new and exciting opportunity has become available for a Training and Development Coach within our Health & Social Care Apprenticeship team.
This is an exciting time to join a growing provision supporting apprentices across Levels 2, 3 and 5 Adult Care programmes. We are looking for an experienced and passionate individual with strong sector knowledge and leadership experience within Adult Social Care to support apprentices in developing the skills, knowledge and behaviours needed to succeed within the sector.
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching, coaching, progress reviews, assessment, and learner support across workplace and classroom environments
This role is particularly suited to either:
• An experienced Health & Social Care apprenticeship coach or tutor already delivering up to Level 5 Adult Care Leadership provision, or
• An industry professional with recent operational management experience within Adult Care settings, such as a Deputy Manager, Registered Manager, or equivalent leadership role, who is passionate about developing the future workforce within the care sector.
The successful candidate will be primarily based at Accrington & Rossendale College but will be required to travel across employer sites.
What You Will Be Doing:
• Plan and deliver engaging teaching and learning sessions across Health & Social Care apprenticeship programmes, including leadership and management provision
• Deliver both workplace coaching and classroom-based learning to support apprentice progress and achievement
• Adapt teaching and learning strategies to meet the needs of apprentices across different levels and starting points
• Deliver high-quality coaching, assessment, reviews, and learner support across Health & Social Care apprenticeship standards
• Support apprentices to develop occupational competence, professional behaviours, and leadership skills within workplace settings
• Deliver apprenticeship provision across Levels 2, 3, and support Level 5 Adult Care Leadership programmes
• Complete learner progress reviews, assessments, and timely interventions to support achievement
• Work closely with employers to ensure apprentices make strong progress and develop the skills required within the sector
• Use OneFile to plan learning, monitor progress, and maintain accurate learner records
• Support apprentices with preparation for End Point Assessment
• Contribute to quality improvement, learner experience, and positive achievement outcomes
What We Are Looking For:
• Significant recent occupational experience within Adult Social Care settings
• Experience within a leadership or management role, such as Deputy Manager, Registered Manager, or equivalent
• Strong understanding of current legislation, safeguarding, compliance, and operational practice within Adult Care
• Experience delivering, coaching, assessing, or mentoring within Health & Social Care
• Ability to motivate and support learners to achieve their goals
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Assessor qualification (A1/CAVA or equivalent) desirable
• Teaching qualification desirable
• Experience delivering apprenticeship standards, particularly within Adult Care Leadership provision, would be advantageous
