A new and exciting opportunity has become available for a talented and student focused Curriculum Leader in Motor Vehicle to join our Construction & Motor Vehicle team, on a full-time, permanent basis.

At Accrington & Rossendale College, the Motor Vehicle department is dynamic, supportive and forward-thinking, Our main goal is to shape the future workforce of the Motor Vehicle industry.

The role will be primarily based at our Accrington & Rossendale College campus, however travel across sites may be required.

What You WIll Be Doing:

  • Lead and manage a team of Lecturers, delivering on the Motor Vehicle provision
  • Lead on the internal verification and quality processes
  • Support curriculum planning, development, and delivery to meet awarding body requirements and industry standards
  • Monitor teaching, learning and assessment to ensure high quality and consistency across the department
  • Track and report on student progress, retention, achievement and progression
  • Maintain effective links with employers, apprenticeships and external stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with College procedures, including Safeguarding and Health and Safety
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation within the Motor Vehicle curriculum

What We Are Looking For:

  • 5 GCSEs or equivalent including Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above
  • Recognised teaching qualification
  • Relevant Motor Vehicle-related qualification at Level 3 or above
  • Degree or higher-level qualification in a relevant subject area or appropriate professional qualification
  • Proven experience of teaching/ training in a Motor Vehicle environment within Further Education or Industry
  • Experience of managing or mentoring staff
