We excel in providing people with a platform to progress into fantastic employment opportunities with rewarding careers prospects.

The Exciting Role
A new and exciting opportunity has become available for a Lecturer in Maths.

Are you passionate about inspiring the next generation of mathematicians? Do you have a flair for making complex concepts accessible and engaging? If so, we want YOU!

We are looking for an enthusiastic Maths Lecturer to join our dynamic teaching team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students and help them unlock their potential in the world of mathematics.

You will be part of a highly successful team of dedicated Maths staff delivering GCSE and Functional Skills Maths at Accrington and Rossendale College along with inspiring your students to achieve their best.

East Lancashire Learning Group is 'Powered by Maths and English'. Part of our core strategic intent is to ensure that our learners are English and maths enabled and subsequently there is whole college approach to – and ownership of – English and maths.  All Maths teachers are well-qualified and have expert knowledge of the subject and we also continue to invest in teachers' ongoing professional development.  You will be joining a team of dedicated, innovative and highly-successful subject-experts who achieve remarkable things - students who resit their GCSEs at the college are more than twice as likely to achieve Grade 4-9 than the National Average.

In particular, the Maths division aims to:
• Provide a highly ambitious curriculum which inspires students to achieve their very best and which supports them to aim high and reach the extraordinary.
• Ensure a high-quality maths provision with excellent teaching, learning and assessment.
• Support students to achieve excellent outcomes in maths, supporting them to progress onto their next steps.

The successful candidate will be primarily based at Accrington and Rossendale campus but may be required to travel across sites.

This post could suit an experienced practitioner looking for their next challenge, a newly qualified teacher looking to make their mark within an Outstanding organisation.

Depending on your previous experience additional incentives may be available:
• If you are new to FE or in the first five years of your FE teaching career you may be eligible to receive a targeted retention incentive payment of up to £6,000.00 paid directly to you in addition to your salary.
• If you are not eligible for the above, you may be eligible for a £2500 ‘golden hello’ payment (if you aren't otherwise eligible for government incentive schemes),

What You Will Be Doing:
You’ll be involved in every aspect of course planning, including developing schemes of work, lesson plans, and teaching resources, all while building strong relationships with your learners. Your efforts will contribute to improving student retention, attendance, and success rates, and you’ll play a key role in shaping the curriculum to best meet students’ needs.

What We Are Looking For:
- Experience of teaching maths within a Further Education, Apprenticeship or Secondary setting
- Teaching qualification
- Degree in Maths or associated subject - or alternative degree with A Level Maths
- Excellent communication skills
- Passion for the subject and ability to inspire and motivate
- Highly organised and conscientious approach

What We Offer in Return:
